The 2017 Haibike Electric Bike range is almost sold out!
Whether you're riding on or off road, Haibike's electric bikes are some of the highest quality e-bikes money can buy. The German based company, use top quality components from the likes of Shimano, Rockshox and Schwalbe alongside the best Yamaha and Bosch crank drive motors and batteries.
The Haibike electric bike range can be broken down into the Haibike sDuro and Haibike xDuro ranges. The Haibike sDuro makes use of their Yamaha motors, the Haibike xDuro the very popular Bosch integrated eBike motor, battery and display system. The main differences beyond this are whether or not the bike is full or half suspension, the type of suspension the bike has, and the different other components used for the braking system, grips, wheels and other features.
Although Haibike made its name in the electric mountain biking market with firm favourites such as the Haibike sDuro HardSeven SL they have also started to make urban bikes of a similar standard such as the Haibike Urban.
The Haibike 2017 Range
Haibike have now established themselves as the clear market leaders of electric mountain bikes, they have always had a large range of e-mountain bikes but 2017 has seen the brand concentrate on refining what they have rather than expanding. Two very noticeable improvements to the Haibike range this year are their colour schemes and their naming system. The colour schemes of their frames have been toned while the naming convention for the eBikes within the range has been simplified. Haibike now use a rating system of 3.0 - 10.0. 3.0 being a lower spec model and 10.0 the best. This should help prospective buyers gain some clarity as to how the bikes in the range compare.
There is a near 50/50 split between Bosch (xduro) and Yamaha (sduro) systems so as a consumer you get the choice between the best two mid drive motor systems partnered with suspension suppliers Suntour, Rock Shox & Fox. Both systems can now offer 500wh batteries and a couple of different screen options depending on the bike.
