Don't let its footprint fool you. The HSD Gen3 has been completely engineered around carrying more, with an 80kg-rated Atlas H rear rack and a total carrying capacity of 190kg. There’s room for a child, an adult passenger or a substantial amount of cargo, depending on how you configure it.
Tern has also made the Gen3 more composed under load. A stiffer frame, longer wheelbase and lower centre of gravity improve stability, while the custom Suntour suspension fork and powerful Magura hydraulic disc brakes bring comfort and control to busy everyday riding.
Simple, Smooth & Low Maintenance
The P5i is arguably one of the most straightforward HSDs to own. Its Shimano Nexus 5-speed internal hub keeps the gears safely tucked away, while the Gates Belt Drive is quiet, clean and requires very little maintenance compared with a traditional chain drivetrain.
Power comes from Bosch’s Performance Line motor, delivering up to 75Nm of torque and 340% assistance. A 545Wh PowerPack offers up to 67 miles of range, while the Bosch Smart System connects the bike to the eBike Flow app for ride customisation, eBike Lock, over-the-air updates and more.
