Tern Vektron Range

The Tern Vektron is one of the few folding electric bikes on the market that truly rides like a full-size bike. Powered by Bosch’s world-renowned crank-drive system and packed with practical features, it folds down small enough to take on a train, stow in a car boot, or roll under your desk - without compromising comfort, stability, or performance. The Vektron isn't just compact - it's confident. A stiff, low-step frame and 20" wheels give it a planted, secure feel at speed, even with luggage on board. With a maximum gross vehicle weight of 125kg, it’s a surprisingly capable all-rounder for commuting, leisure, and urban errands.

Unlike many folding eBikes that use hub motors, the Vektron features a mid-drive Bosch motor, giving you natural-feeling assistance, excellent hill-climbing ability, and the reliability you’d expect from a market-leading eBike system. It's a rare spec in the folding category - and one that sets the Vektron apart. Both models in our range include the Bosch Active Line Plus motor, known for its quiet, efficient performance and smooth power delivery.

We stock both the Q9 and S10 models, each built on the same rugged, low-step frame that folds in seconds. The Q9 is ideal for new riders or shorter commutes, with a simple 9-speed drivetrain and 400Wh battery. The S10 steps things up with a larger 500Wh battery, upgraded 10-speed gearing, integrated lights and a rear rack that's rated for child seats, making it a strong choice for family errands or longer journeys. Both models run the Bosch Active Line Plus motor, offering a reliable 270% assistance ratio and up to 50Nm of torque - plenty for urban hills and headwinds.

Tern Folding eBike FAQ's

Which folding Tern eBike should I choose — Vektron, NBD, or Quick Haul?
The Vektron is Tern's dedicated folding commuter range, built for full-size ride quality in a compact fold. The NBD is a low-step, easy-mount folding cargo bike for lighter loads. The Quick Haul folds too but is primarily built as a compact cargo bike rather than a pure folder — choose Vektron if folding and storage is your priority.
How small do Tern folding eBikes fold down, and are they suitable for storage or trains?
Tern's Vektron range folds down to compact dimensions designed to fit in a car boot, under a desk, or in a hallway — most models fold in around 10 seconds. They're well suited to mixed-mode commuting and flat or office storage, though the fold isn't as compact as a dedicated micro-folder like a Brompton.
Can I test ride a folding Tern eBike before buying?
Yes, you can book a test ride on any folding Tern model at a Fully Charged store.
What's the price range across Tern's folding eBikes?
Tern's folding eBikes range from around £2,850 for the Vektron Q9 up to roughly £3,900 for the Vektron S10 and P5i/P7i models.
What warranty comes with a folding Tern eBike from Fully Charged?
Folding Tern eBikes come with Tern's 10-year limited frame warranty when registered, plus Fully Charged's free 6-week health check and ongoing servicing.
