New Gocycle GXi - The Ultimate Folding eBike
Building on the success of the GX, this week Gocycle have announced the launch of the new GXi – a blend of the fast-folding GX and the award-winning and technology-packed G3, creating the ultimate folding electric bike. Our very own eBike expert and founding employee of Gocycle, Dan Parsons, takes a look at this latest offering.

Capitalising on the fast-fold introduced with the incredibly successful Gocycle GX, the GXi brings across the award-winning features and technology of the G3, with automotive-inspired LED daytime running light (DRL) improving rider safety, electronic Predictive Shifting increasing its ease of use and upgraded 375Wh battery meaning you can have more fun, for longer – all in a clean, seamless, cable-free, aesthetically pleasing design reminiscent of the Gocycles that we have come to know and love!
The success of the Gocycle GX has been outstanding, with T3 Magazine acknowledging it as Best Electric Bike in their annual awards, among other rave reviews in global press. With Fully Charged as Gocycle’s largest and most experienced retailer worldwide, in a very short space of time we have witnessed the GX take the eBike market by storm, with many taking the plunge into a folding eBike to take advantage of this feature. Many new owners confess that they didn’t necessarily need a folding eBike, but given that unlike many other models, the fold in no way compromises the ride, comfort or rigidity, why not!

Quick fold and easily removable battery
With the GXi’s hydroformed aluminium frame hinging across a large surface area, there is little or no flex as is common on most small-beam section folding bikes, resulting in the same positive, stiff, confidence-inspiring and enjoyable ride.
The development in battery technology has allowed Gocycle to pack more capacity into as smaller size – the GXi now offers 375Wh, giving you more time in the saddle.
Integrated LED light pipe daylight running light (DRL)
With four modes (low, low-flashing, high and high-flashing) the DRL is effortlessly integrated into the GXi’s slight handlebars, increasing rider visibility and safety.
Electronic Predictive Shifting
If you’ve ridden the G3, you’ll know how smooth and intuitive the Predictive Shifting on the new GXi is. Select between manual mode or predictive for the full effortless experience. Never again will you be in the wrong gear at the traffic lights!
