Bosch eBike Specialist Retailer

Every year, eBike brands (and analogue bike brands), accessory companies and ancillary suppliers gather at Eurobike in Germany to showcase their latest innovations and product developments.

Bosch eBike Connectivity

It’s a huge show with more to see than anyone could reasonably take in, even if they spent the entire event there.

Some of what’s on display is interesting, some would be nice to have, and some is just plain wacky. But hidden among it all are important, brand-specific new products that shouldn’t be missed. In these times of economic caution, we admit we don’t attend every Eurobike, instead focusing on UK exhibitions, which give us a good sense of what’s coming.

However, what matters more is staying well-informed about the brands we sell and understanding how things are evolving. Alongside speaking regularly with our suppliers’ reps and keeping up with their professional content and newsletters, we take the time to get trained.

One of the key brands for us at Fully Charged is Bosch eBike Systems.

Bosch drive units, batteries, controllers and other components are fitted to most of the brands we sell. Today, the brand is ubiquitous across the eBike industry and recognised as the leader in the field.

Of course, other manufacturers have Bosch in their sights and are pushing ahead with new products, but Bosch has a reputation for spotting these threats and leapfrogging the competition to maintain its market position.

Bosch eBike Gravel

To become a recognised Bosch Specialist Retailer, we must attend annual training. Some years there’s more to take in than others, and this year was packed with information about upcoming range changes, product developments, and hints about the future of their systems.

Without this knowledge, it would be difficult to properly advise prospective customers on which bikes best suit their needs.

Training can sometimes feel like a dry subject, something we do out of necessity. But in this case, the insights gained are essential to doing our jobs well.

If your chosen retailer can’t show you their Bosch Specialist Retailer certificate*, it’s worth asking why – and considering one who can.

*Assuming Bosch is on the bikes you’re looking at.

PS: If you can’t see a brand name on components, ask yourself how you would get replacements or servicing support?
